What is “emotional” thinking? We start with our thoughts. Our emotions will present our thoughts through various bodily outlets, such as sweating, red face, tears, etc. We assess these physiological responses as confirmations of our initial thoughts. Armed with opinion confirmation, we deduce that we are justified in the amplification of those initial thoughts. This triggers greater physiological responses. Thusly we manufacture self-feeding loops that begin as thought mole hills but end up as mountains. – E.O.
